viking designer 1 help

I just received the viking designer 1 from my dad after my mom died. I
received the instruction books and floppy disk 100 with scripts on
them and nothing else. How do I get started downloading pictures off
the computer to my machine and basically getting anything from the
computer to machine. thanks

Hi Candy. You will love the Designer 1. It was my first embroidery
machine. Here is the e-mail for Viking customer service. Tell them the
same thing you told us. You are missing a couple of components that you
will need to communicate between the computer and your machine. Ask
customer service to explain what you need and how to get it. Embird can
write the necessary floppy disks for your machine. Embird was all I used.
Your machine will not handle pictures directly. They would have to be
converted from photos to embroidery designs. That requires software such as
Embird or Viking's own software. Truly, your best source is the Viking Help
Desk or Customer Service to get you up and running.

to know about my Designer 1 when I first got it.

resource for D1 owners and their members are always very helpful when you
have questions.
