I have been using Embird and the Iconizer plug in for many years with various Windows operating systems.  Recently I had to upgrade to Windows 10 and the Iconizer is not displaying an image of my embroidery designs, except in Embird itself.  I have all my correct passwords in the Registration fields and there is a check mark next to OK on the Installed Plug-ins window.  I did download the 2016 Build 10.18 64 bit program.

I have been going back and forth with Dusan in email and everything he is telling me to do was already done, but I still cannot see images of my designs, only the generic Brother icon for all designs.

Can anyone help me get this worked out?

Thanks!

I don't know if you got an answer or not.

I had to just do this so it is fresh on my mind......
From Embird Manager go to Options on the top menu bar.
Select Iconizer Settings in the drop down box.
In the window that comes up, the middle section says, "From the list below, ..........Microsoft Windows Explorer.....
Select the file types you want to show up.
Then on the right side of that list, you will see check boxes for Enable Icons, Thumbnails, etc.
Check which ones you want.

After I did that I was able to see my designs in Windows Explorer.

Hope that helps.

I can't help you but I just installed, added the passwords, registration etc. and I have the same issue.  I'm on a Mac with Windows 10 (Parallel).... hoping someone will respond to you as well.

Shari,

Did you go into Manager and on the top menu click Options, then Iconizer Settings?  In the Shell Integration Setup, select all in the first two boxes, particularly in the second box (Enable Iconizer for all). Next on the bottom right, click remove image file types and remove quilting file types.  When you click OK, Embird will go through all the file types and you should be able to see the icons in Windows Explorer as well as Embird proper.

I have been running it on 10 since 10 came out with no problems.  Good Luck.

Hi,

What you need is to apply the Iconizer settings again in Options -> Iconizer Settings. I had the same issue on Win 10 after update, had to re-apply this configuration.

Thanks,
Katherine

My iconizer works just fine with Windows 10! Did you mark the formats it has to open and display images? You go into "Options" in Manager and then "Iconizer Settings" and choose from the list there.
Hope it helps!!

I too have used embird for many years and have upgraded to 10 and a new computer.  I installed Embird on my new computer last night - all went fine and I installed iconizer, and have just now done the suggested things in Options (which I had done last night)  I have a Husqvarna machine and would like to use the VIP format - I can get the right icons in HUS but get the generic icons in all the other formats - JEF, VIP, PES etc.  I guess I should be glad I can get the correct ones in HUS - but I don't have all my designs in the HUS format.  Can anyone help me with this problem.

I will email Dusan - they are always prompt in their answers but I am thinking that their suggestions will be the same as those listed on this thread.
