Can someone tell me how to do this so I can figure out the size of my design?  Thanks.

There are online charts for this. Do a Google search.

In Embird you can change the units of measure.

In Embird 2013:  Got to the OPTIONS menu; scroll down and select MEASURE IN INCHES.

(not shouting, just trying to make it easier for you to read along and find the relevant words while hunting through menus :) ).

The design preview pane will convert to inches and every tool you use will be in inches as well.  For Iconizer, this also changes the default unit size when browsing your designs via windows explorer in the pop up menu.

Also, most embroidery vendors allow you to change your preferred unit system - usually under your account settings.   Just check Inches or Imperial/US and you should be good to go :)

Hi Deb – If you go to the Embird Manager – go to Options – check the “measure in inches” – and it will be fixed.  It must be set to default millimeters right now.

Hope this helps.

To convert 57 mm to inches, type in the google search box "57mm in inches" (without the quotes). In most browsers, if google is the default search tool, you can type this in the main web address box at the top.

In Editor- Options- put a checkmark beside Measure in inches.  Now, all the measuring will be in inches.

Easier to just use Google, so you don't have to find your charts.

Enter "22 1/4 inches, in mm" for an example.  Of course, you could enter "8cm to inches" if  you like.

Jack.
