I recently did a class on vinyl heat-transfer crafting, specifically to apply
retro-reflective graphics onto some base fabric to make patches that can be
sewn onto garments and accessories. I used an updated graphic that's the
header of outbarefoot.org these days, which now graces the outer pocket of
my hike-pack and glows very nicely under same-axis incident light.

I am going to put in for making a few more of these; is anyone who's local
interested in having one? I'm trying to get an idea of quantity before putting
in the equivalent of an order [regardless of who actually does the work of
making them]. There would be no cost; I'm happy to fund a project like this
and deliver product. Your workload would consist of applying the patch to
a chosen item.

How big are the patches?

Ah, excellent question! As constructed, my prototype is exactly 6 inches
across the outer edge of the border line, and about 3-1/4 high. The graphic
can easily be re-sized as part of the process of setting up for the cutting,
so that's not set in stone [or vinyl]. Only my prototype exists right now,
the artist [and/or I] would be going back into the "silhouette" image editor
to set up for another run of these whenever it happens. So custom sizes
are totally doable.

The vinyl color is completely variable as well. Lenni has also been doing a
lot with bright day-glo colors as well as the reflective, but I thought the
reflective was a cooler concept.
