HI Guys,

I have stumble upon a problem while building. So anyone who had experience building from source do share your expertise here.

While searching for solution I found this link which by far gives me the best explanation regarding this issue.

I am trying to get this software to run on Debian Wheezy (Debian Sid and Squeezy works fine)

I notice that a lot of dependencies packages that is required. I am trying fedora so heres the spec list to get kiwix running.

Anyone care to give it a shot? See if you can get it running either Raspbian/Debian Wheezy or Pidora/Fedora.

I give it a try yesterday on Ubuntu 14.04 and I have to bring in a lot of packages in order to get passed the configure stage.
Yet, I realize that the configure phase gives some warning. I proceed with the "make" stage and go throw a bunch of compilation error in python around xulrunner...
Are you getting the same?

Yes I am getting the same error, it warns me about the python.lib(if not mistaken) and missing header. Plus loads of missing dependencies and package versioning issue for gcc 3.8.2-8 (keep asking me to have minimum gcc-3.8.3 to work).

But in the internet, I found someone who manage to get it working.

His Comment:
The OS was Raspbian, and I compiled the kiwix source code on the Pi itself.  There were also some pre-compiled programs that were available on the kiwix website which I tested too (they worked).  I expect the source to compile on any Pi distro, but the only way to know is to try."
