Couples have to through a life long transformation.
Marriage is a struggle between good and evil. We must love each other and not hate one another.

Theme. Discipleship

12 apostles
Disciples are all the followers of christ.
Discipleship is having a particular identity. You become disciplined to live according to the teachings of that person.
One gets to understand the person you are following better. We eventually become like christ, you think and reason like christ. We have been commissioned to teach by christ. Be merciful and truthful like Jesus christ. Be prayerful like christ. Imitate christ, st. Paul says imitate me as i imitate christ. We must be ready to suffer so that we can get blessings. Many parents dont want to have many children. They are avoiding suffering. Avoiding the natural way of giving birth. They lose the bond between mother and child.

There is no religion without suffering. Participating in christs divine mystry. No suffering selectively but the whole. Blessings will come by later but suffering is necessary for value.

Suffering is a pivot of discipleship. Jesus said that when you become my disciple you will become my friend. You shall also participate in my suffering as well.

The apostles even fought as to who will take over after Jesus left. The mother of James and John requested to have his sons one on his left the other on the right. Jesus asked are you ready to suffer for me.

We are entrusted with a responsibility to go out and preach. One cannot teach what they dont have hence we need to equip ourselves with knowledge. Become more enlightened in our faith.

Intrinsic and extrinsic believers. Extrinsic go to church since it is a social activity. Intrinsic will pray even when it is not called for.
We have a responsible to teach our children to become like christ.
Kids ape there parents and they can only see God in you. The way we relate with our siblings somehow determines how we are going to relate with God. We are shaping peoples/ kids lives.
We develop a super culture a culture of christ. A culture of truth, mercy, love and forgiveness.

We need to prepare ourselves for the mission. Comit our faith, be active in the church, try to be living stones in the church.
Since we are sinners lets make use the practice of pennance to bring us back to God.
Sacrament of reconciliation requires us to forgive one another many times.
Essential sacraments, reconciliation/ heals our souls and eucharist/ nourishes our souls.
We need to go for confession so as to free our souls and live fuller peaceful lives.
Many church goers but few christians. We go to church on sunday to observe sabbath and not to worship.

Fuculties of christ
1. Christ as a teacher- knowledge in scripture, share the word.
2. Christ as a leader- able to inspire and influence other peoples behaviour positively, visionary, able to sort out problems.
3. Santifying people. Refining the people of God through sacrifice.
Jesus said that his disciples will make it but not without persecution. Even if we fall their is a chance for ressurection.
