Clear spscing

Is there a way to stop the "clear" class from creating space? I am
using this:

<div class="clear">&nbsp;</div>

I would like that that some rows actually "touch" each other, what is
the Emastic way to handle this issue?

Yes, sure it's simple: <div class="clear"></div>

Thanks Vladocar, this works well in FF but causes the row to collapse
in IE6. I even defined a definite height for the row, 184px, Any
suggestions?

Emastic is very nice so far.

Strange, I tested everything in IE6. Example :
http://www.allapis.com/Emastic-CSS-Temaplates/template7.html with <div
class="clear"></div> is working fine in IE6.
If you can provide sample HTML.
