The eman2.org / blake.bcm.edu webserver is offline while we rebuild it. You may or may not have noticed it's been going up and down recently (due to massive distributed attacks coming in from the Chinese cloud). We tried various blocking strategies, but haven't updated the server in some time so finally bit the bullet. Server should be back in a day or two.

Hi,
While the website is down, could you share a PDF of the tutorials on tomography/subtomogram averaging?
Thank you!
John

A large fraction of the documentation Wiki has now been rebuilt. A few of the deeper pages are still a work in progress and some of the legacy documentation is still pending, but by and large the wiki is now back online.

Caveat: We still have not resolved the certificate issue with BCM yet. For the moment we are using a self-signed certificate which will show up as "unsafe" in most browsers. If you tell the browser that you understand the risk you should still be able to proceed to the website. We are working with our IT to resolve the problem, but no idea when it will get fixed.

I'm pleased to announce that the EMAN2 wiki now has a valid security certificate again, so you shouldn't get any more warnings about invalid or self-signed certificates. The vast majority of the Wiki pages have been copied from the old system into the new server, but a few things are still in progress. Please note that old bookmarks with URL's like EMAN2/TransforminPython will not work with the new Wiki. The new style is https://blake.bcm.edu/emanwiki/doku.php?id=eman2:eman2transforminpython. The best approach is to navigate to eman2.org, find the page you want, then bookmark it again.  Sorry for the inconvenience. Hopefully we won't need to do this again for another 15 years :^)

HI All,

I am unable to connect to the webpage, say “Cannot connect to the Server”. Is it just me or others are facing the same issue.

Regards

Hi Andy,
There may have been a residual firewall issue...  Try again now

Just to get this to the top of the pinned thread again:

- The EMAN2 wiki now has a valid security certificate again, so you shouldn't get any more warnings about invalid or self-signed certificates.
- Virtually all of the Wiki pages have been copied from the old system into the new server. Feel free to email me if you find something useful which is missing.
- Please note that old bookmarks with URL's like EMAN2/TransforminPython will not work with the new Wiki.

I have tested access from off campus, and we are getting significant numbers of off-campus requests again, so as far as I can tell everything is working normally. If you have issues still, please start a new thread rather than responding to this message (ie - with the same subject), so it doesn't cover this pinned announcement on the Google Group.
