Hi,

After I press Launch When importing data in the project manger:
On Raw Data -> Evaluate & Import

The graphics windows open but has no content (they are black).
and the following error message is written to the terminal every time an image is selected from the e2evalimage list-menu:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/home/frankg/bin/EMAN_2p1/lib/emimage2d.py", line 212, in paintGL
    self.render()
  File "/home/frankg/bin/EMAN_2p1/lib/emimage2d.py", line 833, in render
    self.setup_shapes()
  File "/home/frankg/bin/EMAN_2p1/lib/emimage2d.py", line 1209, in setup_shapes
    glEndList()
  File "/home/frankg/bin/EMAN_2p1/extlib/site-packages/OpenGL/error.py", line 208, in glCheckError
    baseOperation = baseOperation,
OpenGL.error.GLError: GLError(
        err = 1280,
        description = 'invalid enumerant',
        baseOperation = glEndList,
        cArguments = ()
)

This happens both for EMAN2.1 and EMAN2.07
EMAN is installed on a virtual machine running open openSUSE 12.2 (x86_64) on a w7 host.

The output of e2version.py is:

EMAN 2.1 alpha1 (CVS 2013/06/15 07:34:13)
Your EMAN2 is running on:  NAME=openSUSE
VERSION="12.2 (Mantis)"
VERSION_ID="12.2"
PRETTY_NAME="openSUSE 12.2 (Mantis) (x86_64)"
ID=opensuse
ANSI_COLOR="0;32"
CPE_NAME="cpe:/o:opensuse:opensuse:12.2"
openSUSE 12.2 (x86_64)
VERSION = 12.2
CODENAME = Mantis 3.4.33-2.24-desktop x86_64
Your Python version is:  2.7.3

What should I do in order to resolve this problem?

Thank you,
Gabriel A. Frank

Looks like it's probably a problem with OpenGL support in your virtual machine. Can you use e2display.py and display a 2-D image successfully ?  Many VM systems do not support OpenGL graphics fully.  What VM system are you using ?  You could also see what glxinfo tells you.

Hi,

I am using VirtualBox.
The problem was solved by deselecting the 3D acceleration option in the display setting of the machine.
There are some complains from the program regrading 3D acceleration however everything seems to run.

Thank you.

Yes, virtualbox is nice (and free), but its 3d support is minimal and buggy.
