Negotiation Opportunity with Lumos for Infrastructure Access

Dear Ravenswood BOD's and Kyle,

I recently saw advertisements indicating that Lumos Internet will soon be expanding service to our subdivision. Since we are a gated community, I believe we have the right and an opportunity to negotiate with them before they begin laying cables on our property.

Given the access they’ll need to our private roads and infrastructure, we should consider requesting compensation or benefits in exchange for permitting the installation work within the community. Other gated communities have successfully done this, and it could be a potential advantage for our HOA as well.

Could you please look into this and initiate a conversation with Lumos at your earliest convenience?

I support Laxma’s suggestion and urge the HOA to proactively engage with Lumos and/or TMobile Fiber. Just this week, a T-Mobile rep was knocking on doors with offers for residents to sign the contract. This shows providers are already planning or moving into our neighbourhood.

As a gated community, we have leverage and should engage proactively with providers to negotiate possible benefits before access is granted. Waiting until after they begin work will be a missed opportunity.

Please prioritize this for the advantage of Ravenswood.
