Apologies for the delay. The County has not responded to our request to use pre-existing records, such as the recorded plat referenced in the right-of-way deed, so the Association does not have to pay for a survey and other expenses that are unnecessary. I sent a follow-up email. We will have to proceed with the abandonment without the County's guidance if we do not receive a response.
I reviewed the information provided in your last email concerning permitting for the gate. The County will require the abandonment regardless of whether a permit was issued. One of the attachments was an email from the county in 2016 advising of the need to privatize the road. Had that been done at the time, it would have been reflected in the land records.
