Hello All,

We wanted to provide you a quick update for the gate project. We expect to have the target dates established after securing the county approval.

Quick updates below:

1. Drawing submitted by the contractor to the county for approval
2. Waiting on the county to schedule the review meeting with the contractor; should be sometime this week ( Lonnie to confirm)
3. County approval will be received after the review meeting; it will take about 2 weeks after the review meeting to get the approval from the county.
4. Contract will be signed after securing the approval from the county. We will be able to provide a definitive timeline once the contract is signed.

Attached is the pic of the drawing submitted to the county. This drawing shows the current measurements from the proposed position of gates and the road (Stoney point) in the current setting; we meet all necessary criteria to get the county approval.

PS: please keep this email thread only for gate related questions/updates.

Thanks,
Suhail

Hello All,

Congratulation!  We have signed the contract for the Gate Project last week.  The work will commence from Tuesday, Nov 15th and we expect to have the gate installed by mid December.  Workers will be around from 8:30AM to 4:30PM everyday; we have been assured that there will be minimal interference for traffic coming in and out of the subdivision.  I will share detailed project schedule once I get it from the contractor.

Thanks for your support and patience as we work towards becoming a gated community.

Measure for gate leafs, perimeter fencing and pedestrian gate and start fabrication

Monday December 5th – Friday December 9th

Run all power wiring and low voltage wiring for telephone entry system, gate operators and power fail inverters. Install visitor call box and paint bollards. Install Knox lock and receiver for transmitters. Build brick/stone columns and cap each column

Hi Mike,

Email below and the attachment shows the Gate Entrance Plans that were submitted by the contractor to the county in October 2016.  The contract with the contractor was signed only after getting the county approval as is stated in the email as well.  County as well as Fieldstone should have all these records.  There are also emails in which Jim Sutton and Ryan Maki (both were Fieldstone Reps at that time) were in discussion with the County and the contractor on the abandonment.  And emails on the final inspection (Electrical cabling was the last inspection - the permit number image was shared by Shyam before).

Hopefully this helps Fieldstone and the County to get to the bottom of what seems to be misplaced paperwork at their end.

Kind Regards,

Rahul

I’m going to send a note to Commissioner Laura Semanson and get her time to discuss this situation. I’ll include Mike and Rahul for now.

Not that it matters but I think the Tmobile Fiber team is what caused this to be looked at.

I got a VM from the Tmobile rep to say they were working on getting the final approvals to come in. They had run into issues with the HOA.  So when they were not able to just come in like they have in other neighborhoods they pushed to ask why and the county could nor produce the documents.

Just my theory.

I am not sure why County is  answerable to greedy corporations, if something happens in the neighborhood because the gate is not operational, that person should sue T-mobile !!! Having said that nobody from our neighbourhood should subscribe to T-Mobile service which caused this trouble we should raise this in twitter / facebook and all social media how greedy corporation like T-Mobile are troubling citizens like us 🙂😃😀

Mike,

Do we have an update from Fieldstone and Kyle?

I am still not clear on the following:

  1. Who is covering the costs of the lawyers to clear up any right of way issues, surveys, etc?
  2. Shyam, in an email you sent on Dec 5th, you indicated you were reaching out to Commissioner Laura Semanson and copying Mike and Rahul. Did that happen and what was the outcome of that?
  3. Has anyone determined why we can not operate the gate until this is resolved? Considering it has been in place since 2016 and this is just a paperwork issue and does not impact any of the county public service workers gaining access to the community, but does impact our safety?
  4. What is the date of our next HOA meeting?

Thanks
Kevin

Hello Shyam,

Did you hear anything back from the commissioner you indicated you were reaching out to?  It would be great to determine why the gate can not be operated while this is resolved.

I don't understand what issues the County could be experiencing now that haven't been an issue since 2016.

Thanks
Kevin

Thanks Shyam.

I had family visiting and they were asking since the gate is open 24/7 are we more vigilant about keeping the doors locked. So even others sense the need for all security measures to be in place. I would feel a little more secure with the gate functional. I think this is the angel to take with the commissioner. Security.

Laura is going to get back in New Year, here is her response.

Not a lot of staff around this week due to the holidays and end of year vacations, but I will check. BOC last mtg was 12/18 and we are out until the new session starts 1/8.

Thanks
Shyam M
