Keyboard macro with Eclipse Neon on macOS

Hi

How does one create a keyboard macro with Emacs+ installed in Eclipse Neon on macOS please?

The key sequence:

Ctrl-X (

Is what I use with Aquamacs, for example, but that seems to have no effect in Eclipse.

I possibly missing some basic point, or didn't read the fine manual, so apologies in advance if that is what it is.
