Hello Mark,

first off, I would like to say thanks for developing emacs+, it really has made my life a lot nicer as these old gnu shortcuts are wired into my brain.
I'm sorry to hear that you will no longer support the project, which is understandable and good luck in your future projects.

So now that the sucking up is finished, the real question; would you mind typing out a quick build procedure for emacs+ that currently lives on github? I would really really like to keep using it, however I lack the knowledge necessary to package that code into something eclipse can read in and use. I would be happy to help, but I'm afraid it's beyond me at this point.

Anyway, thanks a lo

Hello Mark,
I second both the Thanks and the request for a build procedure.
It would be greatly appreciated if you can attach a zip file that can be used manually with Eclipse SW installation.
Many thanks again.

Me three!  A stand-alone install package would be much appreciated. Can’t use eclipse without emacs+.

Support Emacs+ by marking it as a 'favorite' at the Eclipse Marketplace: http://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/emacs.

Hi Mark, I'm joining the Thank You's for your work on Emacs+. You may remember me. I coaxed you into adding the register and rectangle commands at the time. I cannot use Eclipse without Emacs+. Like poppycokears, my muscle memory asserts itself instantly. This is why I cannot use Google docs: My "cnt-a <anything else>" destroys the document as soon as I begin focusing on content, rather than on fighting my skills.

I understand that you don't want to make changes needed solely for accommodating an evolving plugin API. It seems as if Stan Cox is trying to pick up your work. Any way you can help him with hints on how to progress are greatly appreciated. Right now, Emacs+ isn't found via the marketplace for Eclipse 2018_12, nor 2019, though there is an install button.

Many thanks again, Mark, for a product that I use every day.

Andreas
