I've been using Emacs with minimal customization for about 30 years, so while I should know more than I do, I'm still fairly ignorant of far too many things.
So I thought I'd experiment with Prelude, and so far I'd say I have mixed emotions.
My main blood-pressure-boiling issue at the moment: I can't tolerate the editor adding more text than what I'm typing (auto-indentation aside). So, two questions:
* How can I permanently disable smartparens-mode?
* Why, with that mode interactively disabled in my buffer, am I still seeing a closing paren being added as soon as I add an open one?
Thanks for this amazing project. I suspect my decades of ingrained preferences are going to lead me away from it ultimately, but if nothing else it's helping me learn about some of the projects I may wish to add piecemeal.
