Hello,

I am trying to use emacs-eclim for code completion etc. for some trivial C++ source file.
It doesn't work for me - I'm still getting "No completions." message. :-(

When I run proper eclim shell command for that project/file/offset, the eclimd produces correct completions.
So the eclim alone is working. Am I doing something wrong or simply emacs-eclim doesn't support other
languages than Java?

Thank you for your reply.

As far as I know, only a subset of the Java features of eclim has
bindings in emacs-eclim.

Thank you for your confirmation. I was quite happy for awhile that I've finally (!) found some working Emacs enhancement providing a decent code completion, smart code refactoring and some other handy things which all that shiny and eye-candy IDEs implements. But it probably will never happen in Emacs world. That's a really pity. :-( All IDEs just suck at text editing and Emacs is really cool in all other ways. Using it for programming is IMHO still kind of a pain in the ass. :-(

Hi,

Emacs-eclim has some rudimentary support for ruby, python and PHP completion, plus decent support for XML completion. The thing is, since I only use eclim for java in my day to day work, it's hard for me to support the other stuff, unfortunately.

Cheers,
