Meeting at DHA 31-1-19

Dear all,

We had a meeting today with Additional Director Special Projects.

He was extremely kind enough to patiently hear our grieviances.

We were apprised that there is an extreme delay in project completion by Emaar. They explained to us that according to the progress report submitted by Emaar, it is apparent they have still not completed the various ongoing projects at crescent bay. The delay in handover is due to incomplete works at site.

Executive Engineer DHA present also confirmed to our query that there is violation in the project as well. Now due to this DHA is holding back on the completion plans.  Please everyone understand we might get possession without completion, however we will not be able to get any title documents like sublease nor sale deed would be registered. Now this will end up being a transfer property with Emaar only.  We will never be able to get mortgage on the said property nor it will be accepted by any bank as collateral asset.

We are now following up for another meeting with Director Special projects where we would register our grieviances as well as request for a joint meeting with DHA & EMAAR.

Further DHA enquired whether we are getting rents on delay from July 2016.  Explained to them, that not in all cases, in other cases customers are getting credit note adjustment. Will update of the meeting date with Director Special projects.

Thanks Mr Suleman for your efforts.

We need to find out what the violations are and than push Emaar to take care of them or pay penalty for it.

Need to find out when they will give possession exactly and to push Emaar to pay the rent for the delayed payments as they have not paid for 6months plus.

I hope the meeting with Director Special Projects will be beneficial.
