Greetings from The Malaysian Australian Alumni Council (MAAC).
 
This is a reminder that the UNSW Alumni Malaysia Chapter is organising a CEO Cocktail Forum featuring a mini-seminar on “Global Economic Update” your alumni are invited to join this seminar for social and business networking, as well as to keep ourselves posted on the global economic situation and outlook. Target attendees to this seminar are CEO and Senior Management from various industries.

Attendance is free. However, we are constrained by space and can only offer 10 seats to other Australian University alumni. PROFILE OF SPEAKERS:

 

Mr Teng Chee Wai

Mr Teng is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Hwang-DBS Investment Management Berhad.  He is responsible for managing the overall business and strategic direction of the company as well as the management of the investment team.  He is actively involved in investments and provides critical leadership through regular participation in reviewing and assessing investment strategies and performance.  Mr Teng’s investment management experience spans more than 19 years, and his key area of expertise has been in managing absolute return mandates for insurance assets and investment-linked funds both in Singapore and Malaysia.

 

Prior to his current appointment, he was the Assistant General Manager of Overseas Assurance Corporation (OAC) responsible for the group’s investment operations in Singapore and Malaysia with total investment assets exceeding S$2.5 billion.

 

Prior to joining OAC, Teng was an investment manager with NTUC Income in Singapore, investing in equity markets of Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan.

 

Teng graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the National University of Singapore and has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Studies from City University in London.

 

Rajarshi Mitra

Rajarshi Mitra, joined HSBC Malaysia 11 months back. He looks after the Structured Products business for Malaysia. Prior to that he was in BNP Paribas in Dubai. He originally hailed from India with a few years experience in Mumbai.  He has worked in various fields within treasury ranging from Balance Sheet Management to Trading, Sales & Structuring.

 

Stevenson Yip

 

Stevenson Yip is the Vice President of Investment Services.  He joined HSBC Bank in 2006.  His current role includes Unit Trust, Structured Investment and Insurance sales strategy and planning.  Prior to his current role, Yip has more than 13 years experience in the financial industry handling IUTAs, corporate sales and Agency sales distribution.  Yip is a MBA holder with CPF and RFC.
