Working on my Midway's 1 Million BC and I can't get the score reels to keep score.  All of the solenoids on the back door are firing good and the game registers a hit through the sound board.  The reels reset themselves at the beginning of each game and everything is movable, doesn't appear to be locked up.  The controller solenoid fires, but no moving reels - not even the 100s.  I noticed the red bulbs that are supposed to be lit when a hit occurs don't work either - linked issue?  I still can't find a manual or schematic so any help would be appreciated!

if you push on the score relays manually will the reels score? Just make sure the contacts are clean. Just because the contacts are touching doesn't mean they are making contact.

as for the bulbs just make sure they are good

So I moved the reels to read a different numbers and upon start up it resets them to zeros.  I pushed on the back door solenoids for each and it makes the hit sound through the sound board, the score controller rolls but the reels do nothing.  I activated the red bulbs hit solenoid and they work, so one question answered.  Thanks for the help!

Ok next start a new game, and go to the score relays and with a screwdriver touch the tip of the screwdriver to the side of each set of contact blades so you touch both blades at the same time. One of the sets of contacts controls the score reels. Make sure you are only touching the screwdriver handle only while doing this or you'll get zapped.

Hmmm......  After thinking about it the relays might be the problem. It's possible the wipers on the steppers are dirty. I'd have to look at my game to see what actually controls the scoring.

I meant to say the relays might 'not' be the problem.

So I cleaned the steppers and pulled apart the scoring mech and cleaned it up, and brushed the contacts.  I noticed that when I activate the Start Score solenoid the steppers were rotating, so I manually moved the latch where the score solenoid was on the score reel and the score reel rotated.  Now my problem is the solenoid on the score reel that releases the 100s to keep count of the scores.  Any ideas on how to fix that?

Thanks for the help!
