We have the pleasure of informing you that the EMI Training Academy will be organizing two sessions this year:
· Brussels 24-30 June
· Strasbourg 9-15 September
These trainings on European Affairs are open to university students or recent graduates from all countries and give them the opportunity to discover the workings of the EU from within and to meet with professionals from different spheres (MEPs, officials from the EU Institutions, lobbyists, political parties, NGOs etc…).
The EMI is also providing the possibility for groups to request tailor-made programmes according to their particular interests.

C’est avec plaisir que nous vous informons que l’Académie MEI organise deux formations cette année:
· Bruxelles 24-30 juin
· Strasbourg 9-15 septembre
Les formations en affaires européennes sont ouvertes aux étudiants universitaires, ou récemment diplômés, de toute nationalité. Nous leur donnons l’opportunité de découvrir le fonctionnement de l’UE de l’intérieur, ainsi que l’occasion de rencontrer des professionnels de différents secteurs (eurodéputés, fonctionnaires des institutions, lobbyistes, partis politiques, ONG…).
Il est également possible de réserver des programmes sur-mesure pour des groupes en fonction de leurs intérêts particuliers.

Register for the EMI Training Academy 2013 !
The European Movement International organises regular trainings on European affairs. The trainings give participants the opportunity to broaden their knowledge of the European Union and discover all the possibilities open to them for their future careers.
Meetings take place in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where participants are free to ask questions and express their points of view.
This is the perfect occasion to leave your textbooks behind and to come and meet professionals and visit the European institutions! The Training Academy is also a great multicultural experience as students from different countries get to spend a week together and learn about each other’s cultures.

This week is an exciting and enriching experience for students! You will get a complete overview of the reality of working in Brussels and meet interesting people of different backgrounds and cultures. You will also be included in the EMI network, a great opportunity for your future European career!
Strasbourg 9-15 September 2013
Ø Visit the European Parliament during a plenary session!
Ø Visit the Council of Europe, European Court of Human Rights, European Ombudsman, ARTE television, Assembly of the Regions, Strasbourg University…
Ø Meet professionals: MEPs, lobbyists, NGOs, journalists, youth organisations, political parties etc
Ø Learn about each speaker’s personal experience and career path. Find out how you could get such a job!
Ø Discover “behind the scenes” workings of the institutions in Strasbourg
Ø Free time and cultural visits
Ø Make friends with fellow students from across Europe and beyond!
This week is a unique opportunity to see a different facet of the EU and to get a more diverse overview of the various institutions present in Strasbourg. As in the Brussels session, you will learn about the wide variety of opportunities open to you and get a better insight on how to network and plan your European career!
Tailor-made trainings
The EMI Training Academy also offers tailor-made trainings for groups upon request. Contact us and we can set up a programme for you! It’s totally “à la carte” to best suit your needs and interests!
Requirements and Application procedure
Ø You should have a good knowledge of the European Union
Ø Be enthusiastic and motivated!
Ø Have a good command of English
Ø This training is aimed at university students and recent graduates
Ø Age limit: 30 years
Send a full CV (including date of birth) and a motivation letter in English to: Training...@europeanmovement.eu
The deadlines for registrations are:
- June session in Brussels: 13 May 2013
- September session in Strasbourg: 15 July 2013
Registrations fees
Brussels session:
Ø The registration fee is 800€ and includes accommodation, local transport and meals.
Ø If you prefer to find your own accommodation, you can pay a reduced fee of 480€.
Ø Please note that this does not include the travel expenses to and from Brussels.
Ø Members of JEF and AEGEE are entitled to a reduction of the costs.
Strasbourg session:
Ø The registration fee is 820€ and includes accommodation, local transport and meals.
Ø Please note that this does not include the travel expenses to and from Strasbourg.
Ø Members of JEF and AEGEE are entitled to a reduction of the costs.
Tailor-made trainings
Ø The fee depends on the programme requested.
