Hey everyone--I just bought a place in 711. Did my initial walk
through yesterday. Most of it was the normal items to fix. The only
big item seemed to be the noise and light coming from the adjacent
units. I was wondering what if anyone else had the problem and what
you (or Orchard) did to fix the problem.

I have the same problem - but only in one corner of my place.  You can tell that this particular corner (next to the exposed brick) wasn't sealed properly.

I haven't said anything yet, but was planning on sending an email to Michelle.

I must be one of the lucky ones as I don't hear any outside noise aside from the atrium. Even the atrium noise is minimal as I've gotten used to it.

I would definitely bring it up during your walk through. If they don't fix it before you close I imagine it's harder to have them fix it afterwards.  Overall, Orchard was very accommodating to me -- I had a small novel of things to repair before closing and most were taken care of.

By the way, welcome to the building!

I think most of the noise from other units is coming from the entry
door, since most do not seal with the floor. I am thinking of getting
a threshold and or different door bottom to try and seal that up after
I move in. Welcome to the building as well, and I am going to be in
611 below you shortly.
