to Ely Field Naturalists
The Second EFN Nature Program of the 2026 Series
Ice is off and MN Fishing Opener is just ahead. We can move from sharing information about loons, swans and other waterfowl.  This week we will move to other seasonal activities by moving to what's happening in the water.
This gathering will be another of our annual gatherings to have people from our area who manage, research, and study them.  In addition to all the anglers getting ready for opening weekend and the fishing season ahead, we will have some of our neighbors who work managing fish, selling licences, bait and tackle, enforcing rules and regulations, and studying fish biology.
Join us. while we provide the posters of MN Fishes, and the 2026 Fishing Regulations to
share information and answer questions.  Everyone is welcome, whether you have spent your life fishing or want to learn and begin.
We meet at the Vermilion Campus at 1900 E Camp Street in Ely.  Park in front of the buildings and enter the entrance at the flag poles.  Follow the hallway straight through until you get to Classroom NS111 next to the staircase and the elevator.
If you come at 2:00, I will give you a brief 30-minute tour of the campus.  The program will be from 3:00 to 4:30.
