Meet at the Trezona Trail parking lot on Miner's Drive in Ely for an 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. walk along the south shore of Miner's Lake.
There are project's being explored between the Saint Louis County Soil and Water Conservation District, the City of Ely, and other community partners. The proposal is to identify the native, nonnative and invasive plants along the trail and develop a plant for management to restore the area by removing invasive trees and shrubs in support of restoring a northern ecosystem.
As this area continues to be used and appreciated by residents and visitors, the current condition and potential will be explored with you on this walk before summer slips away.
