The Good and Bad of Bird Feeder Table Manners

This female hairy woodpecker, despite its large bill, took fairly dainty bites of suet out of my hand.

 

 

 

This rose-breasted grosbeak male, despite his beauty of song and sight, lost some of his charm when up close due to its less-than-fastidious approach to inhaling the suet/seed mix.
