Norma’s note sent me to my field guide to see if it mentioned this one. My favorite field guide is Miller’s Mushrooms of North America 1980 but I’m sure things have changed. What’s your favorite nowadays? Online doesn’t count though I use it as well, but I still love to flip thru a book randomly absorbing names & things to watch for.

For this area I mostly use Mushrooms of the Upper Midwest by Teresa Marrone and Kahy Yerich It's small so easy to carry and sticks to things in this area. I love mushroom books in general but it's easier to have something not quite as broad to carry in the woods.
