Leucistic Evening Grosbeak

Evening Grosbeaks are on the Orange Alert List nationwide due to a population decline of 84% since 1966 (Cornell). Since moving to Embarrass 49 years ago, the large flocks at our feeders that I remember as common are long gone. Even one or two EVGRs are now a thrill to see. That was the case when two females arrived a couple days ago, and one had a leucistic face (see photo). I've never seen a leucistic EVGR!
