Join this FREE webinar to hear from the 2025 Dr. L. David Mech Fellowship recipients as they share their journeys through the wildlife field, their project experiences and about their future in wildlife science. Our 2025 fellows participated in unique research projects. Taylor Lebron joined the Isle Royale Wolf-Moose project to assess how changes in wolf abundance influence beaver foraging behavior. Sylvia Reed was part of the Gulf Coast Canine Project collecting and analyzing samples to determine the genetic ancestry of distinct canids found in coastal regions of Texas and Louisiana.
The Dr. L. David Mech Fellowship program began in 2022. It aims to lower barriers, motivate students from various backgrounds to delve into natural sciences and wildlife biology as careers and offer bridge support for early career researchers before entering graduate school. The recipients receive a stipend as well as reimbursements for research related expenses to help support their research goals.
This webinar will be recorded, and all registered participants will receive a link to the recording via email within a week of the original broadcast.
