I know you’re supposed to take your bird feeders in when bears are out and about, but these feeders had stood the test of time. In the three years a massive bear, easily over 400 pounds, has been visiting, he’s never been able to reach up the 8 feet necessary to grab the feeders – until last night.
He demolished two feeders and apparently took the peanut feeder to go, because it is nowhere to be found. I puzzled over how he was able to reach the feeders until I noticed the answer is in plain view: Stepladder.
