Monarch, Swallowtail, Milkweed Redux

As a follow-up to an earlier post, in my neck of the woods (47.876223.   -91.831805), I have not observed a monarch or black swallowtail all summer. To be honest, I don’t recall seeing a tiger swallowtail.  Butterfly activity has seemed to be exceedingly low, with the possible exception of Mourning cloaks, which are currently abundant. Another observation is that very few common milkweeds have developed seed pods, and this includes a roadside patch from which from which I transplanted the dozen or so I have growing.
