The first fall flock of about 8 Pine Grosbeaks flew over our home in Embarrass on Oct 24. Wouldn't it be nice if this became a winter when Pine Grosbeaks came to EFN feeders every day? Close views of the cranberry colors of the males, as well as the females' various shades of mustard and yellow gold, are something to behold.

I took down my feeders because I had a very hungry bear show up several nights in a row. I’d like to put them back up at least during daylight hours. Do you think that’s ok? What n has your experience been around this time of year?
