Guess one could say it was just a scat of a different color. Humor aside, one wonders, gray or red fox. I've seen many more gray fox around here than reds, via trail camera and helping themselves to sunflower seeds at one of my feeders.

In the past we have discussed gray vs red fox and that if gray foxes are found, the State would like to get a report, preferably with  a photo.  I believe this is where you can send in reports:

mcbs.e...@state.mn.us.  The gray fox may be expanding its range.  I know others have reported seeing them in the past.
