Signs of Spring in the Air and on the Ground

February is rapidly becoming my favorite month in the Northwoods. Today’s 40°+ felt nice, but now we’ve got ice… I’ll take those sunny days in the 20’s. That said, cross country skiing Thursday I came across wolf tracks, and signs of estrus. Last night while out with the dogs~ 9:30 pm, a Saw-whet owl was busy performing its peeping-hooting call. The animal world is awakening to “Nature’s Call”.
