Forgive me if I already sent this. Im not the sharpest flower observer out there but I dont remember having
seen this lovely plant on my property before. Kind of stunning.

Hepatica. The leaves revive later than the flowers. Essence of spring.

There are two species of Hepatica's in MN.  I have only found the Round-lobed Hepatica in Northern MN.  The Sharp-lobed Hepatica can be found further south but there may be some over lap.  Always check to see if the leaves are rounded or pointed.  You can find them easily along the Stub Lake Trail.  P.S. They come in a variety of shades from the dark blue/purple as posted to an almost white flower.
