While I was walking my dog (Ruby) past a wooded area in Ely on Monday morning (June 1st), something suddenly caught her attention. Looking where she was interested, I saw a doe lying down with 2 fawns by her side.
Of course, I didn't have a camera with me at the time. But, since we were only about 1/4 mile away from our house, I hurried Ruby home where I quickly grabbed my camera and rushed back to the place I'd seen the family.
When I first got there, I couldn't see the fawns but then, one poked its head up and was staring at me over its mother's back. It then gradually worked its way around so it was peeking at me around mama's head. It
was then that I noticed the other one, laying down, behind the doe.
