- With winter behind us and midsummer approaching, raptors have fully returned to our northern forests. They will remain here throughout the summer before beginning their migration in the fall.
- Over the next three months, these birds will be focused on feeding, mating, and raising their young. Because they hunt in specific habitats at certain times of day, they can often be difficult to spot.
- How many resident raptors have you encountered during the summer or fall migration? We invite you to join us to learn more about their individual stories and the latest research on these species.
- Join us as we dive into the lives of:: Osprey, Bald Eagles, Broad-winged Hawks, Red-tailed Hawks, Rough-legged Hawks, ,Northern Harriers, Sharp-shinned Hawks, Cooper's Hawks, Northern Goshawks, American Kestrels, Merlins, Peregrine Falcons, Gyrfalcons, Turkey Vultures, Northern Saw-whet Owls, Boreal Owls, Northern Hawk Owls, Barred Owls, Great-horned Owls, Long-eared Owls, Snowy Owls
- What kind of nest, what habitat, when nesting and fledging, what prey, summer here or farther north?
