Evening grosbeaks ...

I've been watching a flock of more than a dozen evening grosbeaks come to a safflower feeder this morning on Sunset Road. It's the first of this spectacular species I have seen here at our cabin in at least five years.

We had 2 evening grosbeaks stop by our place today. It has also been at least 2 years since we have had any here.
