Juvenile Loon Flight practice

Now is the time to go watch juvenile Loon flight practice.  Chicks hatched near June 18 are doing serious " run on the water & flapping wings & trying to get air lift as the head into the wind.  Happening now on Ed Shave.  Fenske.  Hanson. Low Lake. Tofte.

I observed the juvenile loon chick on Eagles Nest Lake 2 run on the water and get airborn the other day!
