This scout showed up this morning about 8 AM and since then has been jousting with the squirrels for leftovers beneath the location of a now-dismantled feeder.

I saw one Junco last weekend. Overall, I'm very disappointed with the few numbers of birds that have been around. The feeder only attracted a few black capped Chickadees and one or two Nuthatches. Is this a trend, what are other people experiencing? I'm on the south side of Ely on White Iron Lake.
And my city sightings have really taken a hit this year, other than a few sparrows and a Flicker, it's been way too quiet at our place.

I’m 3/4 mile west of White Iron. Really all I’ve had all winter have been chickadees and a daily red breasted nuthatch. I did get some pine grosbeaks for a short period of time, and plenty of blue jays.
Raven feeder attracted ravens and the occasional Canada Jay. I wonder if the devastating effects of spruce budworm on balsam fir have an overall affect on what we see. I used to get a ton of different seed eaters come in.
