The campaign announced an April 9 Radio City Hall fund-raiser with the "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" singer today, proudly declaring the "Elton and Hillary: One Night Only" show is his first solo gig in New York City since 2000.
"I'm not a politician but I believe in the work that Hillary Clinton does," said John in the campaign's statement. "I'm excited to support Hillary by performing at what will be a truly memorable night."
The cost is $125 mezzanine seats and $250 for orchestra.
Costello, you'll remember, sang solo for Clinton's birthday back in October.

Sir Elton John To Perform at Clinton Fundraiser on April 9th
Legendary artist Sir Elton John will perform at a solo concert on behalf of Hillary Clinton's campaign on April 9, 2008 at Radio City Music Hall in New York. The event, called "Elton and Hillary: One Night Only," is Elton John's first public solo concert in New York City without his band since his solo concert at Madison Square Garden in October 2000.
"I'm not a politician but I believe in the work that Hillary Clinton does," said John. "I'm excited to support Hillary by performing at what will be a truly memorable night."
Tickets start at $125 for Mezzanine seats and $250 for Orchestra seats. Tickets will go on sale at 9:00 am EST, on Wednesday, March 19, 2008. To purchase tickets, go to www.HillaryClinton.com/Elton or call the campaign office at 212-213-3717.
In his four decade career, Elton John has been one of the dominant forces in rock and popular music, especially during the 1970s. He has sold more than 250 million albums and over one hundred million singles, making him one of the most successful artists of all time. He has won five Grammy awards and one Academy Award. John was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. He is a worldwide activist and humanitarian for a variety of issues including HIV/AIDS, breast cancer and human rights to name a few. In 1992, John founded the Elton John AIDS Foundation and was knighted in 1998.
There are plenty of causes which unite people, but the people of Darwin and the Kimberley have chosen an interesting one to throw their weight behind.
They're not worried about the environment, or rising petrol prices - they just want Elton John.
The campaign is aiming to get as many as 10,000 people to sign a petition to persuade the flamboyant entertainer to come to the northern city.
John himself is a self-professed fan of Australia but has never performed in the Top End or Kimberley.
Local promoter Michael Chugg says people just don't understand the logistics of taking a show of the calibre of Elton John's to more remote cities.
'It takes four to five days to move a show that size across the country and back,' he said. 'The jets are one part of it, but it's the 10,000 chairs we need to get to Broome and the 10,000 chairs we need to get to Darwin, and the 80 by 100 stage that we need to bring from the east coast, and on and on it goes.'
A similar petition in Townsville last year resulted in the star's first performance there to an audience of 20,000.

Elton John will have to take a hard look at his playlist for next month's New York concert. References to the sun going down or candles spluttering in the wind might have to be avoided.
Hillary Clinton's campaign team announced today that the veteran British singer is to do a fundraising concert for her on April 9, billing it as 'Elton and Hillary: One Night Only'.
Tickets, available from the campaign office, range between $125 (£62.50) and $250 for the 6,000-capacity Radio City Music Hall, in the Rockefeller Centre, on April 9.
Elton John, in a statement released by Hillary Clinton's headquarters, said: "I'm not a politician but I believe in the work that Hillary Clinton does. I'm excited to support Hillary by performing at what will be a truly memorable night."
Within minutes of the announcement, there were protests from bloggers on various US political sites about the involvement of a non-American in the election campaign.
On the Chicago Tribune's The Swamp, Curt Fell wrote: "Elton can't even VOTE in the USA!!! I'm a fan of Elton John but can't Hillary find an American Superstar to put on a fund-raising concert for her??? This makes no sense to me!!!"
The fundraiser was born out of the close ties between Elton John and Bill Clinton established through their joint work in fighting HIV/AIDS.
The former president spoke at Elton John's 60th birthday party concert in New York last year that attracted 20,000 fans.
While there is no polling evidence that celebrity endorsements influence voters, both Clinton and Barack Obama regularly release the names of the latest actor, sports personality or other well-known figure who have offered support.
The biggest draw so far has been Jack Nicholson, who reprised his role as a marine commander in A Few Good Men for an ad supporting Clinton.
She has also attracted the support of Steven Spielberg, Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, Billie Jean King and Maya Angelou.
Obama has fielded Robert de Niro, Pearl Jam, Toni Morrison, Kathleen Turner, Scarlett Johansson, Halle Berry and George Clooney.
Elton John is not the first British musician to endorse Clinton. Elvis Costello played at her 60th birthday party concert in New York in October that brought in $1.5 million.
From London to New York, Sir Elton John is going all out for his favorite candidates.
Taking a breaking from campaigning for a London mayoral candidate, John is inviting thousands of his closest friends to attend a concert at Radio City Music Hall in New York on April 9 to benefit Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential campaign.
"There is nothing I like better than throwing a party for a good friend. Will you come out to support my friend Hillary Clinton at a special, one-night-only solo concert in New York?" John wrote in an email sent far and wide by the Clinton campaign to would-be supporters.
"I promise this will be one night that you won't want to miss," he said, adding a perfunctory "click here for more details," which takes you to the Clinton campaign Web site where you learn just how special the show will be.
Tickets, which go on sale March 19, go for anywhere from $125 to $2,300 a seat, depending on whether you're more interested in seeing Elton John sing "Candle in the Wind" live or helping Hillary Clinton become president.
And those who help raise $10,000 for Clinton's presidential campaign "will be invited to a private reception with Elton John and the Clintons," according to the Clinton campaign Web site.
Sir John's first foray into American politics was when he helped Al Gore raise money in 2000 with a concert at which he declared, "I think you're going to win it, baby."
Baby? Wonder what he'll call Hillary?
