when i upgraded to XP (a couple months ago) , i had to, since i bought doom3 and it refused to run on ME (thanks for telling me ID)...the second game (hitman contracts) that refused to run on ME for me....anyway i digress, i noticed a bit more laggy behavior of vice city...more like gta3 on ME for me....anyway i don't run maxed everything like i did (because at critical moments (fights in crowds etc), the game starts lagging badly....like 2 fps?

*edit* I just noticed. that NOW on XP when driving around on east island i get periodic "....loading" screend popping up for a couple seconds. i NEVER had this on ME install of VC. only couple seconds "welcome to vice city..." stuff on bridges. well that was interesting.

I run xp pro, when i first installed vice city it was kind of laggy when it rained and when smoke would come on the screen. So I changed my Compatibility mode to Windows 98/Windows ME... Runs 10x better. I ususally run VC at 1280x1024 at 32 colors.
