The Hammer of Thor
Marvel Heroclix Expansion set is now scheduled for release on November 18, 2009.
Since a lot has
happened in the last year, I’m including in this email:

1) NEWS
A) NECA has
purchased Wizkids fromTopps
and is operating the business as a “wholly owned subsidiary”. In effect, Wizkids
lives, and Heroclix is back! They
also own the clix patent, horrorclix,
actionclix, plus the pocketmodel
license including Pirates.
B)
Necaonline.com has the official purchase announcement in their front
page news tab.
C) Prize
kits for Hammer of Thor will be available to retailers for purchase via
distributors. I am told they will
include a “not for resale” requirement and will be allocated,
probably one per store. Quite a few
of my customers have already asked if I would sell them, and I can only respond
with a) I need them for in-store games, b) if they are not for re-sale I
won’t sell them, and c) I simply have no official details yet. If there is an opportunity to get extras
I will try to offer them to my complete set and case order customers first but
I do want to play by NECA’s rules and help make
sure all stores get them for tournament play.
D) Hammer of Thor dials were published anonymously
several months ago, but have proven to be early testing versions and do not
exactly match final dials that have been revealed. The incorrect ones can be seen on
hcrealms.com and I have left the links to many in the set list below.
E) Even
without a set published in the last year, Heroclix was recently listed as the 3rd
best selling miniatures game during the last fiscal quarter (ICv2).

There
will be a “brick figure” included with each brick, but it is not
yet known what it will be. You no
longer have to mail away for it.
The Thor’s Mighty Chariot, which was originally intended as the
brick figure, is not the brick figure, and was released at conventions by NECA
even before the purchase of Wizkids was announced. See below for purchase information.
3) PRE-SALE
POLICIES
Pre-ordered
cases and sealed product usually ship within a day of release, and pre-ordered
sets within the first 5 days of release. We guarantee shipment within 21
days of release or we will offer your choice of either immediate refund and
discounted offers for future orders, or store credit of 105% of the item
purchase price (to be used on either the same product when it can be
completed and/or on any other store items).
All
shipments are sent in the order that payments are received.
The
21 day guarantee is much longer than it takes to sort sets, but because there
have been collation problems with some SRs in the last sets (i.e. Maestro: 1
per 9 cases, Doomsday 1 per 8 cases, 1 Boy Wonder in 19 cases of Batman Alpha),
I am just trying to be conservative.
I will have extra staff and hope to get some sets out on release day and
all sets out within a couple days as usual! If there are major collation issues that
I cannot resolve through the purchasing of singles as I have done in the past I
will contact buyers and offer as many solutions as possible, including partial
fulfillment and appropriate refunds.
Full refunds are always, of course, one of your options
for any orders I cannot fulfill completely.
4)
PRICES
on Pre-Orders (Direct Sale -
via email) All prices assume similar collation to
previous sets (see pre-sale policy).
If
you buy via my ebay store I will charge the ebay-listed prices and shipping, which
will be a little higher because of the fees involved.
Insurance
is included on direct sales shipping quotes.
I
have posted shipping costs as ranges where there is a great difference from
country to country. Email for an
exact quote.
All
singles added from the store to these orders will have no additional shipping
charges if paid for together.
To
combine store items and pre-orders: order the store items and I will then add
the pre-order to the invoice. Do
NOT pay for the ebay items until the pre-sale has been added.

is no indication that there will be variant figures or dials in this set, but I
will make the same offer I used for Secret Invasion... If there are common or uncommon
variants, I will include those in all sets. CUR (1-48) sets will not include Rare
variants, but would include both Common and Uncommon variants. Orders for sets of 1-60 would include a
rare variant (up to 1 of them), but not SR variants. Hopefully none of these will be an
issue. J

*To
add a Chariot to a HoT set order, you would need to purchase the Chariot
now. I do not know what supplies
will be like later, so this is the only solution that guarantees availability.
I
cannot sell rares or super-rares as a pre-order because pre-ordered sets take precendence
and collation is sometimes an issue.
I
can offer commons and uncommons as additions to
any order but are limited to 3 copies each
right now. They would be 55 cents and 85 cents respectively, and would not
affect postage costs. I usually can offer rares and
super-rares with buy-it-now pricing about 3 to 4 days after release.
5)
ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS

with what you need and your location and I’ll send a quote.
Payment
can be made by paypal, US check or money order, or western union. I can accept Canadian postal money
orders in US dollars.
