Anne seems to think we are going to bring our own amplification to the
banquet, so she's telling us we need to hire the AV person instead. I
assumed we didn't need any amplification, so I emailed her that message.
If we do need amplification, it'll cost us another $220 minimum. I'd
rather not make this decision, so please email Anne ASAP with our answer.
It's a large hall, and there will be 75 people, I guess. I don't think
it'll be much different from any other ELNA banquet.

We will indeed need a microphone, amplifiers and speakers
and so forth for the banquet Sunday evening.

Based on past experience, I'd say we DO need amplification.
<sigh> another hole in the budget... oh well, we knew New York
was going to be more expensive than other cities when we
started.

Hi, Anne,

I guess Jim Henry's message reched you too late, because no AV technician
turned up on Sunday, but we got along fine without the amplifier.

In case I can't contact you Monday, this is to inform you that I will be
attending my coursethat day from about 11:45am thru 5:00 PM. I will return
at 5, and check to see that we haven't left anything we wanted to bring
home. If there's anything to be thrown away we'll put it all together
somewhere.

Thanks for your help with the congress -- as of Sunday night there was only
one small glitch, the lack of an account number and password for the
wireless internet. After making many calls, your IT department eventually
found someone to approve giving us a guest id.
