This information is available at this this URL.

http://esperanto-usa.org/butiko/registration.log

I programmed the creation of this file from the alligxilo, for the purpose of
that Don could read the answers that people selected, and also to check that
successful credit card charge against the options they have in theory selected.

It of course does not handle the paper-based entry-forms.

All somebody has to do is to go through that and take the names out.

BTW, this is how, you, the Kongreso organizers, can see how many people have ordered
vegetarian meals, etc.

I'm not sure what you're asking below; as I have said, although apparently it is not
clear, I have both programmed this entry mechanism and created the skeletal website.
I don't want to sound snippy, but I did an enormous amount of work for the 2005 Kongreso,
and would much rather only help the 2006 with technical issues than things like typing
in the names of the participants.

Don, can you please confirm that you understand the use of the above file?

I saved the file and grep'd for ^Nomo:
I see there are a fair number of duplicate entries, besides the
test entries you made when debugging the form script. Who has
access to delete these redundant entries?

41 is good participation for so early, I think.

Don has access to this file; my idea was that he would remove the duplicates,
since only he knows whose credit card payment was received.

Unless I'm doing something wrong, registration.log is not in an easily
readable format. I'm suggesting something like Excel. Do you already
have some kind of software that would convert this file to Excel, one line
for each participant, and a column for each field? Or even a text file
with tabs for columns? I could write a BASIC program to parse
registration.log, but I don't want to waste my time if someone already has
this capability.

Ideally, the recipiant of the snail-mail aligxiloj would type in the info
into a similar spreadsheet, then the webpage aligxiloj could be merged into
it.

It's a lot easier to read if you save it as text file.
It's being interpreted as HTML, which it isn't, if you click on the
link below.

Yes, you propose a good ideal solution; you will have to discuss that with Don Harlow.

I can write a quick awk script to turn it into a tab-delimited
text database, which Excel can easily open. I could write
it in Perl (it would take slightly longer) if that is easier for
other people to run. I might write it in Perl anyway, just
to keep from getting rusty....
