Dear Professor, Dear Colleague,
The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Debrecen and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics at the University of Miskolc, in cooperation with the Engineering Board of the Debrecen Regional Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, invite educators, researchers, and industry professionals to the Innovation in Engineering Education (IEE) Conference to be held in Debrecen, Hungary, to share their ideas about the next-generation engineering education. Presentations are welcome on didactics and teaching methodology of engineering, data and knowledge sciences, artificial intelligence, as well as sociology, economics, sustainability, engineering ethics. 
Keynote Speakers:
  • Prof. Dr. Lehel CSATÓ: Teaching the teaching-assistants: human or agent-based
  • Prof. Dr. Marie DEMLOVÁ: Do we need to assess Mathematics, why and how?
  • Prof. em. Dr. Imre HORVÁTH: We pretend to have some solutions … but do we understand the problematics as a whole?
  • Prof. h.c. Dr. Péter KÖRTESI: GeoGebra in Visualizing some Chapters of Mathematics
Key topics for presentations include:
  • Innovative Teaching and Learning Methods in Engineering Education
  • Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Technologies
  • Sustainability, Ethics, and Social Responsibility
  • Transdisciplinarity and Industry Collaboration
  • Assessment, Skills Development, and Educational Innovation
Lectures from the field of STEM and related disciplines that showcase innovative methodologies, pedagogical tools, and cross-disciplinary collaboration are particularly encouraged. The event provides a platform for exchanging ideas, fostering collaboration and networking with international participants committed to improving engineering education. Participants will have the opportunity to present cutting-edge research, share best practice, and explore innovative educational strategies.
Conference papers are invited for the special issue of the
                    Journal of Integrated Design & Process Science
(Sage-IOS Press), as well as for the peer-reviewed journals

Manuscripts are requested to be submitted no later than January 15, 2025.
We believe that our new series of conferences can make a significant contribution to shaping the future of engineering education.
