Planning continues for an in-person Bridges conference in Finland this August! We have a full program of outstanding invited speakers, stimulating contributed talks and workshops, a fascinating art exhibition, delightful poetry reading, thought provoking short film festival, fun Family Day activities, and exciting social events that you won’t want to miss.

If circumstances change, we will reach out to the Bridges community using this mailing list, the website, and social media.

Invited Speakers

We’re pleased to announce an exciting roster of 2022 invited speakers! You may recognize many of them as the speakers we had originally planned to feature at Bridges 2020; we’re glad that they’ve agreed to join us this year. Please check back soon, as we’re not done announcing invited speakers.

Call for Family Day Activities

Because we’re returning to an in-person conference, we’re also excited to begin organizing this year’s Family Day, a public event featuring hands-on activities, games, and presentations. We are accepting proposals for Family Day activities until 01 June. If you wish to make a proposal, please see our call for submissions.

Student Scholarships

We’ll be offering a limited number of scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students attending the conference. Preference will be given to students who are presenting work at the conference and/or are willing to volunteer. See the scholarship page for more information.

Registration

Registration is still open for Bridges 2022. In recognition of the current uncertainty surrounding travel and in-person events, we are lowering our usual registration fees this year. Please visit our registration page for more details. Contributors must register by 01 June in order to have their work included in the conference. All other participants should register by 15 July, after which fees will increase.

See also our travel and accommodations page for information about getting to the conference site and hotel recommendations.

We hope to see you at Bridges Aalto this August!
