Installing Elm on Chromebooks

I am using a Chromebook and the Chrome browser. Is it possible to get a local installation of Elm?

It is possible to get a local installation of Elm for all systems mentioned on http://elm-lang.org/install and additionally for all systems on which you can execute what https://github.com/elm-lang/elm-platform#build-from-source tells you to execute.
