I've published an online tool for converting HTML to elm-html code:
http://mbylstra.github.io/html-to-elm/

I imagine two use cases for the tool:
  • To convert existing HTML. This may be of use if you have some static mockup HTML that you want to turn into an app, or if you want to make Elm components for an existing frontend framework such as Bootstrap or Zurb.
  • A quick way for beginners to become familiar with the elm-html syntax. As a newcomer to Elm I found adjusting to the elm-html DSL a bit of a stumbling block (particularly the preceding comma style) - this is what originally inspired me to create the tool. The snippets below the HTML editor provide some common examples. Code is generated as you type (thanks to Elm!)
Feedback welcome :)

Very nice and cute application! It's particularly nice to see the link
to the code at the top right.

Would you go to war without a helmet? Would you drive without the seat
belt? Then why do you develop software as if shit doesn’t happen?

This is very useful!

I wish it would have been available few days ago, it would have saved me a lot of time. :)

I love it that it works with SVG too ^_^
