Character vector of length 1 or object of class commsim;either the name of the model to use for generating random communities (nullmodel), or a custom null model. For full list of available predefined nullmodels, see the help file of vegan::commsim(), or runvegan::make.commsim(). An object of class commsim can be generated withvegan::commsim() (see Examples).
The commsim function can be used to feed Null Model algorithms intonullmodel analysis.The make.commsim function returns various predefined algorithm types(see Details).These functions represent low level interface for community null modelinfrastructure in vegan with the intent of extensibility,and less emphasis on direct use by users.
If the input of make.comsimm is a commsim object,it is returned without further evaluation. If this is not the case,the character method argument is matched againstpredefined algorithm names. An error message is issuedif none such is found. If the method argument is missing,the function returns names of all currently availablenull model algorithms as a character vector.
