Useful accessory - with some cautions.
By dave tobias
This rack is a useful addition to the AD6 and generally fits the bill. Although I like it, there are a couple of issues.
(1) It ought to be very simple to install, but you'd never know it from the instructions, which are very faint and have tiny diagrams. You'll need a 5mm hex wrench (instructions say 6). They show an open-ended wrench as a required tool but don't specify the size (it's 10 mm); you can also use an adjustable wrench. Having a third hand would help, but I was able to install it without it.
(2) The clamping system has an "interesting" design. It looks like it is intended to allow it to be adjusted for users of different heights, but, if so, it doesn't really work that way (and the instructions say to not slide the clamps on the rails of the bike). If you have users of significantly different heights, it's not adjustable without tools, and it's awkward to do so.
It's an ideal size to prop up a small tablet; the flat portion of the stand is 8" wide, with a 2 1/2 inch wing angled toward you on each side. A larger tablet might only fit in portrait mode (not landscape).
It's sturdy and solid, not flimsy at all. Time will tell if the motion of the bike will cause the clamps to loosen over time.

Average book/e-book reader, outstanding tablet holder
By Ashlem
So I like to watch tv with the AD6 bike, which is fine, although you have to turn the volume up since the bike itself can get loud, which may be a problem if you live with other people nearby such as inside an apartment or someone sleeping in the next room over. Since I work third shift, keeping noise to a minimum is usually a requirement when I get home.
Installation was pretty easy and took about fifteen minutes. The stand itself is pretty sturdy, and while you can install it by yourself, it's probably easier with two people, one holding the stand up while the other attaches it to the bike. It sits up pretty high, so that a book is at about eye level when you're sitting on the bike.
Regarding regular books, it was a bit hard to read small text with it, and I found it easier just to hold the book in my hands to read. Of course that means you can't use the hand portion of the bike, which defeats the purpose of using this particular bike in the first place unless you just want to exercise your legs. With an e-book its a little easier since you can increase the font size to make it easier to read from a farther distance
However, for viewing tv shows and movies on a tablet device, this thing is excellent. I used my 10 inch Asus Transformer and watched a couple of shows on Netflix and Crunchyroll. While also using headphones, I was able to hear it clearly without making more noise. Obviously the bigger your tablet, the better the experience, but this is a nice alternative if you don't want to or can't turn your tv on very loud while working out. I also noticed that I was also working out longer on the bike than I normally did since I kind of forgot I was exercising and was too focused on the show.
So should you get this? If you're only reading regular books, I wouldn't really recommend it. For e-books, maybe if you don't mind enlarging the font size, although get used to scrolling the screen a lot. If you want to watch movies and tv shows from various locations and make more use out of your tablet while working out, then YES!
