An important paper, Wang et al.[1], on the relationships between cloud feedback, climate sensitivity (ECS) and aerosol-cloud interaction in the latest generation of global climate models (CMIP6) has just been published. The key conclusion of the paper is:

The seeming consistency of global-mean temperature evolution between more positive cloud feedback (high ECS) models and observations requires a strong aerosol indirect cooling effect that leads to an interhemispheric temperature evolution that is inconsistent with observations.

Abstract:
This paper studies the effect of product ownership and quality on nonstop entry in the airline industry. Specifically, this paper empirically examines the decision of an airline to offer high quality nonstop service between cities given that the airline may or may not be offering lower quality one-stop service. I find that airlines that offer one-stop service through a hub are less likely to enter that same market with nonstop service than those that do not. In addition, the quality of the one-stop service is an important determinant of entry. Airlines are more likely to enter a market with nonstop service if their own or their rival'.s one-stop service in the market are of lower quality. Estimates suggest that the entry of a rival nonstop carrier diminishes the probability a carrier enters the market with nonstop service. However, airlines offering one-stop service respond differently to nonstop rivals. In particular, relative to other carriers, those offering one-stop service are more likely to enter markets if there are nonstop rivals, suggesting that cannibalization effects are diminished in the presence of nonstop competition.

Gartner research shows that organizations that make performance reviews forward-looking, not backward-looking, can expect to improve employee performance by as much as 13%. Those that provide ongoing, not episodic, feedback could get a boost of as much as 12%. The third key plank of performance management is peer feedback, which can enhance performance by as much as 14%.

Annual performance reviews are the classic form of episodic feedback. It is far more productive to encourage frequent, informal performance conversations that enable managers to provide more timely feedback to employees and adjust expectations based on organizational changes or past performance.

If managers want their performance management strategies to actually motivate employees to perform, they need to build a deep understanding of their direct reports to understand when they might be more receptive to feedback or need it most. If they can also pair that understanding with self-awareness, they can effectively match employee needs with their own ability to coach and provide feedback, filling in any critical gaps with support from the broader network through enterprise connections.

Above all, Dr. Estes emphasizes not allowing the fear of hearing aid feedback keep you from seeking treatment for your hearing loss. Left untreated, hearing loss puts you at risk for a variety of other physical and psycho-social issues, including dementia, depression and social isolation.

When you report an ad, maybe like saying "this isn't relevant to my interests" Stop playing it nonstop after that. Seems like a easy idea and i shouldn't have to suggest it, but your feedback is just a waste of time (At least it certainly feels like it). If I select playback issue and select "this advertisement is not relevant to my interests) (REF: Doordash) then it should play less like on Twitter/X. What is the problem here at Twitch? Seems like you have the technology, Twitter does, and it works, so Twitch should and so you can reasonably determine Twitch puts feedback there to just pretend you have a say in the matter. Either delete the fake feedback button or make it do something.

Designing an impactful online learning experience can feel overwhelming, especially when scaling to larger cohorts. In our last cohort, despite careful planning, learners still found the course difficult to navigate. This feedback made me think, "Can I even scale to more people…", and “Am I even capable of designing…”
